Petrofac has been named well engineering operator on the upcoming i3 Energy Serenity appraisal.
i3 Energy said the well is on track to be drilled in early September, with a well slot between August 15 and September 15.
London and Toronto-listed i3 (I3E) has previously said it is hoping for 100 million recoverable barrels from Serenity oil project in the Central North Sea.
