Port of Blyth officials are to host the Port’s Annual Public Meeting online for the first time next week due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Scheduled for Wednesday 20th May, the meeting will take place via Zoom webinar and is designed to give those with business and community interests in Blyth information on the performance of the Port in 2019 as well as sharing exciting plans for the future.
The event will include a presentation on the performance of the port during 2019 including financial results, as well as the launch of both the Port’s Annual Review 2019 and its latest promotional film.
A live Q&A with Chief Executive Martin Lawlor and Chair of the Board of Commissioners Geoff Hodgson will offer stakeholders the opportunity to ask questions on any aspect of Port activities. Questions are encouraged and will be accepted beforehand via email to enquiries@portofblyth.co.uk.
Port of Blyth Chief Executive Martin Lawlor, said: “As an independent Trust Port, we serve a wide range of stakeholders and greatly value their input at our Annual Public Meeting each year. As a result, despite the uncertainty we’re all facing at present, we believe that it is really important that the 2020 event goes ahead – just in a different form.
We’re looking forward to hosting the event online and believe it may well be one of only a few Annual Public Meetings or AGMs held in this way which is an exciting development for us.”
The event will take place online on Wednesday 20th May at 5.30pm and is open to anyone who would like to attend via registration beforehand.
