Aberdeen-based, Texo Group company, Texo Drone Survey and Inspection, the owner operators of the world’s most advanced fleet of unmanned aerial vehicles for industrial survey and inspection has appointed a new business development director to drive further growth in its key operational sectors.
Mark Kelly assumes his position with immediate effect and has in excess of 30 years senior management experience. He was previously European Business Development Director with UAV services company, Sky Futures; responsible for development of partners and clients across Europe, where the strategic value of drone-based solutions delivers safer and more efficient operating environments for asset owners. He has also held senior business development positions with Petrofac Plc and Halliburton.
John Wood, Chief Operations Officer, The Texo Group said: “Mark has a long track record, particularly in the Oil and Gas services market, and has forged strong and trusted relationships with key decision makers in this sector and also in a number of other mission critical industries.”
Mark Kelly commented: “The UAV Inspection market has grown significantly over the last 5 years in both offshore and onshore services, and across several complimentary markets such as renewables, electricity (networks), nuclear and water industries. Clients seek to improve efficiencies in their operational environments, driven by market economics and regulatory pressures/HSE, with assets that degrade over time. As such being able to define a value-based process is key to helping those clients’ deliver better operational performance whilst maintaining safety and improving economic drivers. Advanced UAV services is a crucial approach that companies need to consider when looking at overall asset health and efficiency.”
Mark added: “It quickly became apparent to me that Texo’s approach, their depth of expertise, across the asset lifecycle coupled with proven offshore/onshore deployment and their significant incubator programmes with academia to bring the best solutions available in support of client needs, demonstrated a differentiated model which aligns to client needs in several sectors. Their investment in numerous areas is testament to a business which builds strong client relationships and delivers practical and proven solutions.”
Mark will be responsible for driving growth in a number of key mission-critical sectors in the UK, Europe and throughout the world.
