Pop Up Decom at MRS Training & Rescue

Come along to MRS Training & Rescue, Bridge of Don, Aberdeen, on Thursday 13th October – there are two sessions starting either 8.30am or 1pm.

It’s exciting times for MRS Training & Rescue as the company prepares to officially open its brand-new training facility in Bridge of Don, Aberdeen on Thursday 13th October.

The new state-of-the-art facility has been specifically designed to support the safety and welfare of businesses in the region and throughout North Scotland, offering bespoke training for Working at Height and Confined Spaces – two fundamental requirements for Scotland’s critical sectors (including renewables, oil & gas and construction).

The open day is being held in partnership with Decom North Sea and is the first in a new series of events titled ‘Pop Up Decom’, which will enable DNS members to profile their organisation to the decommissioning community. The open day will comprise of a range of hands on, interactive sessions for all those who attend, including the chance to learn life saving skills as well as abseil from their 14m tower.

MRS’ Aberdeen Operations Manager, Andy Watson says “Our new centre has six training rooms where we will offer a full range of Health and Safety training courses including First Aid, Safe Entry into Confined Spaces, Work at Height and CCNSG Safety Passport courses. We particularly target all aspects of confined space training, especially the provision of rescue cover for the high-risk categorised work. Unfortunately, accidents still occur in confined space working being undertaken and awareness of the hazards still needs to be communicated better.”

Sam Long, CEO of Decom North Sea added “The energy sector supply chain is constantly evolving, in reflection of changing geographical, asset and service needs. We are always keen to help our members promote new offerings, to others in the Supply Chain and to end users such as the asset owners and Operators. We are really pleased to welcome MRS to our family and to be able to offer an event in conjunction with them”.

Please book your free ticket for either the morning session (8.30am – 12 noon), or afternoon session (1 – 4.30pm) and enjoy taking part in a series of taster sessions and practical demonstrations showcasing the range of training MRS offer. This includes self-contained confined space training chambers, built into the fabric of the building with crawl space and internal cameras for recording all training, to prepare and train anyone who works in confined spaces.

All welcome. Book your free tickets now.
