As part of The Decom North Sea Academy, Decom North Sea, in partnership with ABB, will deliver a half-day bespoke Construction Design Management (CDM) Regulations awareness training course on Thursday, 17th June.

The course will cover specific areas relevant to removal of offshore assets, processes, and scope of work, whilst also considering the requirements of other relevant legislation.

The course outline consists of:

  • The relationship between onshore and offshore regulations
  • Background and history of CDM regulations
  • Application to Decommissioning Works
  • Key Duty Holders – Roles and Responsibilities
  • The role of design in the decommissioning and removal process
  • Key Documentation – What should it contain

The course will focus on the client’s role under the regulations and how the regulations apply within a decommissioning and removal environment.
