This free briefing is part of Highland Sustainable Business Week, organised by Zero Waste Scotland’s Resource Efficient Scotland programme with the support of the Highland Council.

For the last four years, the Scottish Government’s Resource Efficient Scotland programme has been helping small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Scotland to save resources and money. Independent evaluation has shown that the programme’s free expertise, interest-free loans and access to grants have uncovered over £42 million worth of savings – a whopping 24% energy saving per business on average.

Now, the Highland Council is working with Resource Efficient Scotland to help local SMEs get a cut of these savings too.

Join this special briefing and you will:

  • learn how you can help your business beat rising energy, water and waste costs
  • find out about the latest loans and grants that are available to help Scottish SMEs – including interest-free loans of between £1,000 and £100,000
  • learn about the fully funded, expert consultancy advice and support available to SMEs
  • understand how you can grow a greener, more competitive business
  • hear from businesses that have already acted, what they did and how they have benefited
  • network with other local businesses and helpful suppliers
