This course provides an introduction to Oil and Gas.

Following the successful development of a suite of “Introduction to” training courses, EEEGR and Lowestoft College are pleased to announce scheduled dates for the “Intro to Oil and Gas” and “Intro to Offshore Wind” courses:

Who should attend: These courses offer an introduction to various sectors within the energy industry and provide an excellent foundation for new entrants to the industry and non-technical personnel who need to have an overview of the sector to support their job role.

Subjects covered:

  • The UK’s current reliance on Oil and Gas
  • How Oil and Gas were formed
  • Techniques used to locate Oil and Gas
  • Equipment and techniques used to extract Oil and Gas
  • Methods of distributing Oil and Gas
  • Future activities in the North Sea other than Oil and Gas extraction
  • Unconventional Oil and Gas

Course Aims:

  • The UK’s dependence on a supply of Oil and Gas
  • The existing Oil and Gas industry, from the basic geology to production techniques
  • Potential future activities of the Oil and Gas industry for the next thirty years

Spaces are charged at £150 + VAT per delegate which includes lunch.
