Decom North Sea Lunch & Learn events give members and non-members from across the UK and Europe the opportunity to hear about developments, whilst networking with key players from the decommissioning sector.
Companies will present their offshore decommissioning capabilities both to raise awareness of their expertise with the operators and major contractors and also to allow the rest of the supply chain to seek opportunities for collaboration.
Our January Lunch and Learn event will include presentations from D3 Consulting, Ecosse Subsea, EFC Group and Weatherford.
More information to follow;
Having worked with materials and waste characterisation for the decommissioning of more than 20 offshore assets, the team at D3 Consulting will share their standardised approach to offshore waste characterisation and materials inventory management. This approach adopts D3’s DAWN (ecommissioning ssurance through aste kowledge), an information management system for streamlining the development of Materials Inventories and sharing live waste and materials tracking with the supply chain throughout the decommissioning process.
Ecosse Subsea Systems (ESS) have a suite of technologies which offer cost effective and innovative solutions to multiple activities within the challenging decommissioning scope. Ambient Lifting and Ballast Technology can be used to lift, lower and hover objects within the water column to allow the efficient and safe recovery of subsea assets. This fully scalable system can be utilised for small lifts such as mattress removal right up to manifold and SSIV recovery. In addition, ESS also have the SCAR Seabed System which offers a simple, safe and robust solution to the burial of redundant pipelines The ESS presentation will introduce these technologies to the Decom North Sea audience and will highlight their main areas of utilisation, benefits and cost saving potential.
EFC Mechanical Handling are specialists in the design of innovative handling solutions, predominantly for the oil and gas industry. In response to a market need EFC have developed a Rigless Intervention System which is a fully North Sea certified self-erecting mast, specifically developed for well abandonment operations. The first unit was sold to a leading offshore service company and is currently in use on the Murchison platform. EFC will be presenting the Rigless Intervention System, its application on the Murchison and also future innovation for P&A activities.
